Data we collect

• Account: name, email address, password (stored hashed), role (student / teacher / admin).
• Profile: phone number (optional), class level, profile photo.
• Teachers: qualification, experience, subjects, fees, city and ID-proof documents for verification.
• Learning content: chat messages, photos, voice notes and documents you share, homework, test results, bookings.
• Payments: amount, payment method and UPI transaction ID you enter. We do not store card or bank login details. Teacher payout requests include the bank details the teacher provides.
• AI Teacher: questions, text and images you send are processed by an AI service to generate answers.
• Live classes: camera and microphone are used only during a class you join. Audio/video is sent directly between participants and is not stored on our servers. Recordings you make are saved only on your own device.

How we use it

To provide accounts, classes, chat, AI answers, payments, teacher verification and notifications. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.

Sharing

Data is shared only with the teachers/students you interact with, admins who verify teachers and payments, and our hosting and AI processing providers, solely to run the service.

Security & retention

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and protected by access rules. We keep data while your account is active.

Students under 18 should use Banglar Alo™ with a parent's or guardian's permission.
